The non-magnetic regulating organ (ORA) is now available on the watchmaking market thanks to synergies created between six companies in the Acrotec group.
Acrotec is able to develop, in collaboration with its customers, a complete industrialised non-magnetic regulating organ. This major development is based on the group’s ability to coordinate, assemble and manufacture the most sensitive components of the movement, using materials with very low magnetic reactivity such as silicon, metallic glass and certain ceramics. This technology is now available to the watchmaking industry thanks to synergies established between six companies in the Acrotec group, without compromising on quality and performance. The O.R.A. is manufactured and assembled according to each customer’s specific plans. It includes all the key elements of the regulating organ – balance spring, balance wheel and axles – machined with micromechanical tolerances and finishes comparable to those of rolling. The precision achieved ensures optimal performance in terms of timing and better stability against magnetic interference.
Industrial capacity
Six Acrotec entities are involved in the production of this solution: Sigatec, KIF Parechoc, Mimotec, Petitpierre, STS and Acrotec R&D. Final assembly and customer relations are handled by Sigatec, ensuring a one-stop shop and operational efficiency. Environments saturated with electromagnetic waves pose a growing challenge to the regularity of mechanical watches. A complete, reliable and industrialised non-magnetic regulating organ is becoming a competitive advantage. This offer is aimed at established companies and independents wishing to integrate this technology into their product strategy. With this offering, Acrotec has an industrial capacity that opens up new perspectives for luxury watchmaking.
The precision achieved guarantees optimal performance in terms of timing.
